Welcome to The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation, where we honor the enduring legacy of John and Matty by supporting projects and initiatives that reflect the values and passions they championed throughout their lives.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to youth hockey, expanding access to the game, supporting families within the hockey community who have faced tragedy, and assisting those impacted by drunk and reckless driving, like our own.
We believe in the power of the game to shape lives. Hockey instills teamwork, discipline, resilience and confidence—and every child should have the opportunity to experience those lessons, regardless of their circumstances.
Above all, John and Matty were devoted fathers and family-first men. In their honor, the Foundation is dedicated not only to growing access to the game they loved, but also to helping families navigate the unimaginable—offering support, hope, and a sense of community in times of need.

John and Matty grew up in Carneys Point, NJ with their parents Guy and Jane, sisters Kristen and Katie. They were known for being “all-star human beings”.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in our mission! We are thrilled to announce the launch of our foundation, dedicated to honoring the memory of our beloved husbands, John and Matty.
John and Matty made a tremendous and everlasting impact on everyone who knew them. In addition to their hockey talents, the boys were known for their kindness. The Foundation’s purpose is to continue giving back to what the boys are passionate about and to ultimately continue to make a positive impact on the world in their honor.
As Co-Presidents, we are committed to growing this foundation and expanding our initiatives in the coming months and years. Your support means the world to us as we embark on this journey together. We invite you to stay connected and join us in making a lasting impact in their memory.
Your support will promote and expand youth ice hockey opportunities, help hockey families facing tragedies, as well as help families that are unfortunately also affected by drunk driving, like ours.
